The Trek and Trail website is owned by Trek and Trail CC (CK 2009/071037/23) with the members being Jeff Ferreira and Charl Lötter. The Trek and Trail business enterprise is a small part-time entrepreneurship running at minimal profit margins. Our main objective is to introduce “hiking” and other outdoor activities to the public. We also wish to support the more “advanced” hiking communities with better prices on specialised gear and to offer alternative solutions.

The Trek and Trail website is free to use for anyone, however by using this web site you automatically agree to adhere to the following terms and conditions. Please do not use the web site, if you do not agree to these conditions. Trek and Trail reserves the right to amend the agreement at any time without prior notice and such amendments will take effect immediately on posting to the Trek and Trail website.

Online registration and privacy policy

You are required to register should you wish to place an order online. Trek and Trail uses the stored information purely for ordering purposes and to investigate the legitimacy of a sale. The information you provide to us will not be publicly accessible and will not be sold, shared or distributed in any form.

Trek and Trail may use your information to contact you with monthly newsletters, promotions and special offers. You can however unsubscribe from these services by clicking the “Newsletter Unsubscribe” link on the homepage.

Your password is your secret! Trek and Trail will not be held liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to keep your password confidential or for any unauthorised use.

Goods delivery policy

Trek and Trail is currently only delivering orders “manually”, which means that we will contact you on completion (Check out) of your order. Delivery arrangements will then be made for mailing, drop-off or walk-in collection. Any additional mailing costs will be added to your invoice.

Return and exchange policy

You are requested to return faulty or incorrectly sent items without delay. You have 14 days after the purchased date of your items to return it to qualify for replacement. Trek and Trail reserves the right to reject returns 14 days after the invoice date. All documents, original packaging and the original invoice must accompany returns. Return shipping costs is your responsibility and Trek and Trail will pay re-delivery to you on exchanged goods.

Refunds will only be made if Trek and Trail made a mistake with your order. Goods returned for any reason other than a mistake on our behalf can only be returned for replacement with the same or similar products if agreed by Trek and Trail.

Warranty

Trek and Trail only extends the manufacturer’s warranty and will always honour its judgement. We will however be fair in accepting returns of faulty products. Feel free to contact us if you believe your product broke for reasons other than normal wear and tear or misuse.

Payment options

Paying for purchases made from the Trek and Trail website are subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.

> Cash payments will be strictly C.O.D.
> Credit card payment is currently not a payment option.

Orders could be withheld if Trek and Trail feels the need to confirm the success of a bank transaction.

> Cheques must be made out to “Trek and Trail”. Cancelling a cheque-payment will be considered fraudulent and legal action will be taken.

Pricing and Stock-availability

Trek and Trail is committed to giving you the best possible price and service. We reserved the right to change pricing of products without notice.

Trek and Trail cannot guarantee the availability of all the products displayed on the website. If a product is out of stock with the suppliers you will be notified and allowed a refund or replacement of a product of the same value.

The price displayed for each product on the Trek and Trail website is the final price you pay. Trek and Trail is not a VAT vendor, thus you don’t need to add VAT to any of the displayed amounts or to your final invoiced amount.

Cancellations

Please contact Trek and Trail if you would like to cancel an order made from the website. You will only be able to cancel orders that have not been sent to you.

Intellectual Property Rights

All material used for the Trek and Trail website including the photos, pictures, reviews, advice, newsletters and other information is the copyrighted work of Trek and Trail and its members. You may print and download material from the Trek and Trail website solely for your own non-commercial use.
